Analisis Pengaruh Problem Based Learning terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah pada Mata Kuliah Teori Graph

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Teori Graph. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu yang melibatkan 60 mahasiswa yang terbagi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dengan PBL dan kelompok kontrol dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Data kemampuan pemecahan masalah dikumpulkan melalui tes pretest dan posttest, serta observasi keterlibatan mahasiswa selama pembelajaran. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t independen dan uji-t berpasangan menghasilkan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa kelompok eksperimen dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (p < 0,001) dengan efek besar (Cohen’s d = 2.25). Selain itu, observasi mengungkapkan keterlibatan aktif, kolaborasi, dan komunikasi yang lebih baik pada kelompok PBL. Hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa PBL efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah serta keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dalam konteks pembelajaran Teori Graph. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan PBL secara lebih luas dalam pembelajaran matematika di perguruan tinggi untuk mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan dunia nyata secara lebih optimal.
