Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pembentukan karakter cinta damai pada peserta didik melalui interaksi antara iklim sekolah dan peran guru dalam menghadapi perilaku agresif siswa di sekolah menengah pertama. Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh masih munculnya perilaku agresif verbal seperti ejekan, penggunaan bahasa kasar, dan konflik interpersonal yang telah menjadi bagian dari pola interaksi sosial siswa di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus di SMP Negeri 6 Luwuk. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan karakter cinta damai dipengaruhi oleh hubungan antara budaya interaksi siswa, iklim sekolah, dan peran guru dalam mengontrol perilaku sosial peserta didik. Guru berperan sebagai mediator konflik dan pembentuk norma sosial melalui keteladanan, nasihat, dan pembinaan perilaku, namun pendekatan yang dilakukan masih cenderung reaktif. Selain itu, iklim sekolah melalui aturan dan pengawasan belum sepenuhnya mampu membentuk budaya damai yang terinternalisasi dalam perilaku siswa. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa karakter cinta damai merupakan hasil konstruksi sosial yang terbentuk melalui pengalaman interaksi sehari-hari di lingkungan sekolah.
